This #GivingTuesday, Give MAHO!

2016-gt-logo-wdate1

Celebrate #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving, with MAHO.  This year, we have a special opportunity for you to directly impact the Anderson Center for Accessible Living.

The Anderson Center’s demonstration spaces allow us to provide hands-on accessibility training that empowers seniors and people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. These spaces are equipped with great accessibility features that we show our visitors, including seminar attendees and people considering home modifications. There are many more features that we can add to the space to help our participants learn and make sound decisions.

On #GivingTuesday, help us improve our one-of-a-kind demonstration space and make accessible living easier to achieve. Our goal is to raise $1,500 to purchase the following items:

Rubber water barrier for a roll-in shower  •  $25
Threshold ramp  Ÿ•  $40
Pull-down closet shelf  Ÿ•  $70
Flip-up grab bar  Ÿ•  $85
Keyless door lock  •Ÿ  $120
Vertical grab bar  Ÿ•  $140
Paneling to cover open space under sink  Ÿ•  $150
Kitchen faucet with touch technology  Ÿ•  $200
Upper cabinet pull-down shelving system  •Ÿ  $320
Doorbell intercom system  Ÿ•  $350

We’ve hit our fundraising goal! Thanks to you support, we’re able to purchase all of the features on our wish list. Any further #GivingTuesday funds raised will go toward additional Demonstration Unit improvements.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

“If it wasn’t for living here, I honestly don’t know where I would be, but I can pretty much guarantee you one thing: the quality of my life wouldn’t be what it is today.”
